You have seen me
naked
but you
will never see
all of me

All of me
yelled
begged
clawed
at
all of you

all of you
is
filth
I know

white
streamed vengeful
from you

red
surged
from all of me

all of me
throbbed
bruised
battered
red.

#11 POETRY 101 REHAB : SMILE

A radiant smile,
Hid a queasy mind,
Painstaking plans,
Set in motion,
She was going to fall,
And he would rejoice.

#10 POETRY 101 REHAB : FRIEND

Telepathic communication,
knowing glances,
partners
who don’t judge,
who (actually) give a damn,
who sticks up for you,
voluntarily
getting their hands dirty,
who knows
what to say,
when you feel worthless,
who screams that song
along with you,
and it doesn’t matter
if you both
are out of tune,
partners in crime,
comrade in arms,
that
(real) friend,
knows you better,
than you
know yourself.

This week’s Poetry 101 Rehab prompt is, Friend. I would like to dedicate this poem to all those beautiful people, who’ve given me abundant memories, sufficient to last a lifetime. Thank you, my lovely jerkfaces!

#9 Poetry 101 Rehab : Fem

We are magic.
We are might.
We are power.
We hold the key,
to life.
Warriors by birth,
defending our own,
since, well, ever.
Raise your swords,
for the war,
is never over.

This week’s Poetry 101 Rehab prompt is, Fem. I didn’t really think a lot when I saw the prompt at first. Grabbing a paper as quickly as possible, I scrawled the words, hoping they don’t fly out of my brain. Truth be told, I figured out the meaning of the poem, after I wrote it, sort of. I think it has a holistic approach towards being a woman, you know, like life is battlefield kind of thing. The struggles just keep coming and it is an endless path. But I guess it is the unfathomable strength that keeps us going all the way. Hope y’all like this one. Cheers.

#8 Poetry 101 Rehab : Missing

A few months passed
I lost my sleep,
I could not get words
Onto paper,
I could not write anymore
Or was it just in my head?
I could not feel
The words in my brain,
A part of me was missing,
The writer in me,
Was missing…

This week’s Poetry 101 Rehab’s prompt is : Missing. I haven’t written anything in the past month and my brain feels so naked right now. I had to push myself over the edge to come up with something and I was determined to get something on my blog. I have hid under the covers too long. But I had my reasons, or should I say reason! With my six-month-old on the loose, I had to find time between changing diapers and feeding her. Hope you guys don’t find me to be a lost case.
