#1 Poetry 101 Rehab: Home

I long for that small space
A space I had created
For myself,

It was my own
A place where I felt loved
A place called I home,

It wasn’t much
The others would say
And I would shrug,

So much happiness
So many memories
It possessed it all,

I miss my home
As I am miles away
And emptiness fills that space.

This week’s Poetry 101 Rehab prompt is HOME.

  1. schattenengel says:

Your words are echoing in my ears… they are screaming : Home! Home! Home!
You did more than just great to express the emotions.

I can’t wait for your next one 🙂
