The brutal shore

The waves caressed my feet

As they sank into the sand

The wind played with my hair

But he twisted my heart,

He floated on water

Like the son of Poseidon

Strong. Tall. Illuminable.

Oh indeed, he was,

The shore seemed small

My tears began to fall

I wiped them away,

Violently.

I will never let a man

Hurt me,

Use me,

Or stare me down.
